BS Languages and Translation Studies
Description
The aim of the four-year BSL&TS Degree program is to teach students the theories and techniques of translation and interpreting and to provide them with the necessary cultural background and skills for a career in translation and interpreting. After scoring admission, students can select a language from a multitude of languages taught at NUML, to be paired with English. The program offers double majors, equipping the students with theoretical knowledge and technical skill set in the fields of translation, as well as English linguistics.
As a language requirement, all students must complete a combined total of 75 credit hours in the language opted by the student and approved by the department (other than English). Final year students are required to submit a major translation project, credited as 6 credit hours, for the partial fulfillment of their degree.
