On April 24, 2025, the Department of French and the Department of Italian at NUML jointly organized La festa della Cucina, a vibrant celebration of French and Italian culinary traditions. The event brought together students from both departments, who showcased their creativity by preparing authentic dishes in teams.
The French cuisine was judged by distinguished guests, including Mr. Ali Bhatti, Director of Alliance Française d'Islamabad, and Mr. Marc Piton, Cultural Counselor at the French Embassy. Meanwhile, the Italian dishes were evaluated by Mr. Alessandro Maggi, Administrative Officer at the Embassy of the Holy See, and Ms. Annamaria Amico Roxas, Italian language instructor at NUML.
Beyond the culinary competition, students enthralled the audience with captivating skits and melodious songs in French and Italian. The event was further enriched by the soulful instrumental performances of Mr. Naghman Javed and Mr. James Moses.
With its perfect blend of gastronomy, culture, and entertainment, La festa della Cucina was a resounding success, leaving attendees with a deeper appreciation for French and Italian heritage.
