The French Department at NUML organized a "Christmas Party" on December 17, 2025. The Video Conference Room in the Rumi Block NUML was beautifully decorated with balloons and colorful lights. The event was attended by teachers and students from the French and Italian Departments, faculty members from the Faculty of Languages, and heads of various departments.
Ms. Sonia, a lecturer in the French Department, hosted the program. The event commenced with the national anthem of Pakistan. Dr. Aamir Zaheer, Head of the French Department, then delivered a brief welcome address.
Christian students from different faculties of NUML presented carol songs alongside a musical performance by Naghman Javed, an alumnus of the French Department, who sang while playing the guitar with students accompanying him. A short video highlighting the history of Christmas was also screened.
Subsequently, H.E. Emmanuel Lorraine, Vicar of St. Thomas Church, Islamabad, delivered an insightful speech on the message of Christmas and offered special prayers for the beloved homeland Pakistan, the Pakistan Army, and all communities of the country.
After further musical performances, shields were presented to H.E. Emmanuel Lorraine and Mr. Naghman Javed. The event concluded with the cutting of the Christmas cake, group photographs, and a tea reception for the guests.
