Russian Language is the one of the most widespread and richest languages in the world. It is the State Language of the Russian Federation, one of the two State languages of Belarus. It is one of the Official languages of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and some other countries, the main language of international communication in Central Eurasia, Eastern Europe, in the countries of the former Soviet Union, one of the six working languages of UN, UNESCO and other international organizations.

Students studying at our department learn not only the Russian language; they also are acquainted with the history, culture and traditions of the largest country in the world - Russia. For this, native speakers work at our department, in addition, students get the opportunity to meet with the representatives from Russia and Russian-speaking countries to expand their horizons and to get involved in extracurricular activities.

The department provides systematic teaching of Russian grammar from the very basics to an advanced level, as well as developing reading, writing and speaking skills, which will undoubtedly be useful for students seeking admission in the universities of the Russian Federation or CIS countries, as well as for careers and business in various fields.
