Talk by Portuguese Writer: “Literature and life, writing as an expression of identity and collective culture”

On 28th February 2024, the Embassy of Portugal in collaboration with the Department of Spanish organized an intellectual talk at NUML by one of the renowned Portuguese writers Mr. Jose Luis Marques Peixoto who was in Pakistan on a short visit. He talked about “Literature and life, writing as an expression of identity and collective culture”. His Excellency Mr. Manuel Frederico Pinheiro da Silva, Ambassador of Portugal also talked about Portugal, Portuguese language and the diplomatic relationships between Portugal and Pakistan.

Punjabi Culture Day

On the national day of Punjabi culture day, a seminar will be conducted at Pakistani language department on the title of ''contemporary scenario of Punjabi literature. Chief Gust is Respected Zahoor Ahmed. Other speakers will be Respected Dr Abdul Rouf and Respected Qaisar Zaman.

The Department of Software Engineering, FEC organized a faculty development training program on 5th April 2024. The training session centred around Outcome-Based Education (OBE), hosted by Dr. Huma Hayyat Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Software Engineering. Faculty members (Regular, Shared, and Visiting) immersed themselves in discussions aimed at refining curriculum structures to align with OBE principles, fostering a more dynamic learning experience for students.

شعبہ اردو میں ایک روزہ سیمینار بعنوان تنقید کے نظری رجحانات، مباحث، اور مسائل 11مارچ 2024ءکو  منعقد ہوا۔سیمینار ڈین فیکلٹی آف لینگویجزکی زیر صدارت منعقدہوا جبکہ نظامت کےفرائض صدرشعبہ اردونےانجام دیے۔  سیمینار میں مہمان مقرر پروفیسر ڈاکٹرقاسم یعقوب تھے جو علامہ اقبال اوپن یونیورسٹی میں بطور اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر تدریسی خدمات انجام دے رہے ہیں جبکہ آپ ایک مشہور نقاد، شاعر اورمدیر بھی ہیں۔ اس سیمینار میں ایم فل اورپی ایچ ڈی کے طلبہ و طالبات  اورشعبے کے اساتذہ کرام نے شرکت کی۔سیمینار کےاختتام پر سوال جواب کا سیشن ہوا جس نے سیمینار کی افادیت میں اضافہ کیا۔
