Prime Minister's Digital Youth Hub - Session
On Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Mirpur Campus, successfully hosted an informative session on the "Prime Minister's Digital Youth Hub."
The session aimed to create awareness and provide guidance on the support available through the initiative, including opportunities for:
- Scholarships
- Skill Programmes
- Jobs
- Start-Ups
The event featured esteemed guest speaker Mr. Fahad Raja, CEO Moboroid, Founder Digital Kashmir, Pride of Pakistan 2024 award winner, CPC Award Winner, and Member of the PM National Youth Council.
Mr. Raja shared valuable insights and information about how young individuals can leverage the Prime Minister's Digital Youth Hub to access various resources and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
The session was held in the Seminar Room at NUML Mirpur Campus and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students interested in exploring the avenues offered by the Digital Youth Hub.

Business Challenges and Entrepreneurship- Seminar
On Thursday, 17th April 2025, NUML Mirpur Campus had the privilege of hosting Mr. Chaudhary Muhammad Raza, Director of Siraj Steel, for an insightful guest lecture on "Industry Challenges and Opportunities for Emerging Entrepreneurs."
Addressing students from the Department of Management Sciences, Mr. Raza shared valuable perspectives on the dynamic nature of the industrial sector. He emphasized the abundance of opportunities available for aspiring entrepreneurs in Pakistan's growing industrial landscape. However, he stressed that these opportunities could only be meaningfully pursued through the effective and focused completion of academic degrees.
Encouraging students to bridge the gap between academia and industry, Mr. Raza warmly invited NUML students to join Siraj Steel as interns, assuring that promising and competent individuals would also be considered for permanent roles within the company. His openness to support young talent was greatly appreciated by the faculty and students alike.
Following the session, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between NUML Mirpur Campus and Siraj Steel, marking the beginning of a collaborative relationship. This MoU reflects a mutual commitment to fostering industry-academia linkage, enhancing students' exposure to real-world business practices, and creating future opportunities in research, training, and employment.

Shaping the Future: The Role of Academicians in Social Reform - FDP
On Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Mirpur Campus, successfully organized a Faculty Development Programme on the theme "Shaping the Future: The Role of Academicians in Social Reform."
The seminar featured distinguished guest speaker Mr. Mahmood Ahmed, the Founder & Executive Chairman of the Character Education Foundation and Founder of the Read Foundation. Mr. Ahmed shared his valuable insights on the crucial role that academicians play in fostering positive social change and shaping society's future. The session explored the responsibilities and opportunities for educators to contribute to social reform through their teaching, research, and engagement with the community. The Faculty Development Programme was held at NUML Mirpur Campus, Sector A, New City Mirpur AJK, and faculty members actively participated.

NUML's Visit to PROHI Institute - CSR
During the blessed month of Ramadan, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Society, in collaboration with the BBA Department of NUML Mirpur Campus, along with faculty members Ms. Hifsa Mobeen, Mr. Mehmood-ul-Hassan, and Ms. Marium Azad, took the initiative to fulfill their moral and social responsibilities.
As part of this effort, they visited PROHI – An Institute for Special Needs Children on March 26, 2025, to spread joy and kindness. The Senior Teacher, Ms. Shabana, along with the staff, warmly welcomed the students and faculty members. Ms. Shabana led them on a tour of the institute, providing insights into the remarkable work being done for children with special needs.
NUML students engaged with the special children, fostering meaningful interactions and distributing thoughtfully prepared gift bags, crafted with love and care. The children at PROHI expressed their happiness and gratitude through sign language, creating a heartwarming and memorable experience for everyone.
Ms. Shabana shed light on the continuous efforts of PROHI to enhance the lives of these children, leaving a profound impact on the visiting students. Inspired by the visit, the NUML students pledged to return and continue supporting this noble cause.

Ramadan, the Quran, and Self-Awareness - Seminar
On Thursday, March 06, 2025, at 11:00 AM, the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Mirpur Campus, successfully hosted an insightful seminar titled "Ramadan, the Quran, and Self-Awareness: A Spiritual and Intellectual Journey."
The seminar featured esteemed guest speaker Prof. Dr. Mustafeez Ahmed Alvi, Former Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences & Head of the Department of Islamic Thought and Culture at NUML Islamabad. Prof. Dr. Alvi shared his valuable insights on the significance of Ramadan, the teachings of the Quran, and their profound connection to self-awareness and spiritual growth. Attendees engaged in a thought-provoking session, exploring the intellectual and spiritual dimensions of this important period. The event took place in the Seminar Hall at NUML Mirpur Campus and saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and members of the wider community.

ABOUT THE EVENT
NUMLogic is an event organized by NUML Computing Society, National University of Modern Languages, Mirpur Campus. This year, the event will be held on 09 July 2024. Intermediate-level students of both computing and non-computing-related disciplines from all over Azad Kashmir and its surroundings are encouraged to apply for registration and take part in below mentioned competition categories:
Cash prizes & Shields will be given to the first, second, and third position holders.
CERTIFICATES
Participants will be given certificates of appreciation and winners will be awarded certificates for merit
REGISTRATION
Registration Fee: PKR=100/- Per Student
- PROGRAMMING COMPETITION
As the name refers, the students of computing background can register in this competition. A team consisting of 2 students will be given programming problems to be solved within 1-2 hours using C / C++ Language.
- COMPUTING QUIZ CHALLENGE
This competition consists of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) which are divided into two major categories:

- POSTER DESIGN COMPETITION
In this competition, a student will be given a topic on which s/he will create a poster design within the allotted time. Furthermore, individual participant will have to register for this competition and a registered student will have to use his/her System / Laptop for designing of poster in his/her chosen tool, e.g. (CorelDraw, Adobe Photo Shop etc.)
