Seerat-un-Nabi Conference 2025
National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Mirpur Campus, recently hosted a successful Seerat-un-Nabi Conference 2025. The event, which focused on the life and leadership of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), was a meaningful gathering for the university community. The conference featured the First Inter-Departmental Speech Competition, where students from various departments showcased their insights on the topic. The Chief Guest, Regional Director NUML Mirpur Campus Lt. Col (Retd) Mr. Tahir Najeeb, addressed the audience, highlighting the exemplary life and leadership qualities of the Holy Prophet (SAW). His remarks underscored the importance of learning from the Prophet’s teachings and applying them in our own lives. The event was a testament to NUML Mirpur Campus's commitment to promoting knowledge and values among its students.

Annual Awards Ceremony 2025
On September 18, 2025, the NUML Mirpur Campus held its Annual Awards Ceremony to honor outstanding students. The event recognized students from all departments who had achieved academic excellence through various scholarship programs.
Scholarship Awards
Two main types of scholarships were awarded:

Merit Scholarships: These scholarships were granted to students who secured the first or second position in their class for each session.

High Achievers Awards: Students who achieved 80% or higher marks in their intermediate Part II examinations received this award, which includes a 50% waiver on their tuition fees.
Ceremony Highlights
The ceremony featured the esteemed Regional Director of NUML Mirpur Campus, who presented cheques to the deserving students. The event concluded with the Regional Director extending congratulations to all the parents whose children were honored for their hard work and dedication.
The NUML Mirpur Campus continues to support its students by offering numerous merit and need-based scholarships.

Official Launch: Wellness Center
Today is a significant day for the NUML Mirpur Campus! With the grace of Almighty Allah, we are pleased to announce the official inauguration of the Wellness Center, under the supervision of the Psychology Department.
This new center is dedicated to providing essential psychological support to our students and faculty, ensuring their overall well-being. We believe that a healthy mind is the foundation for academic and professional success, and this center is a testament to our commitment to the entire NUML community.
We look forward to this new chapter and the positive impact the Wellness Center will have on everyone at NUML Mirpur Campus.

Farewell Address by RD NUML Mirpur Campus to FE&C
On September 16, 2025, the Department of Computer Science at NUML Mirpur Campus had the honor of a farewell address from the Honorable Regional Director, Lt. Col. (Retd.) Mr. Tahir Najeeb Raja. As his tenure is coming to an end soon, he shared insights into the challenges faced while establishing the campus and reflected on his accomplishments during his time here. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the faculty, the Head of Department, and the students for their outstanding performance and unwavering support. Their dedication was instrumental in the positive progress and success of both the department and the campus. The department extends its heartfelt thanks to Lt. Col. (Retd.) Mr. Tahir Najeeb Raja for his tremendous efforts. His leadership has been a key factor in the department and the campus's success. At the conclusion of his address, students from all batches gathered in groups to capture memorable pictures with him.

Plantation Drive at NUML Mirpur Campus
Plantation Drive at NUML Mirpur Campus (13 August 2025)
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) society of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Mirpur Campus recently organized a one-day plantation drive in collaboration with Muslim Hands Mirpur. The event was graced by the presence of respected Regional Director Tahir Najeeb Raja, faculty members Sarmad Shafique, Munawar Hussain, and Usman Ali, along with enthusiastic students from the CSR society.
The primary objective of this plantation drive was to promote environmental responsibility and highlight the vital role of tree plantation in ensuring a sustainable future. This initiative aligns with Muslim Hands' ongoing efforts to launch massive tree plantation drives in Mirpur, aiming to plant thousands of saplings and promote a greener environment.
The collaboration between NUML Mirpur Campus and Muslim Hands Mirpur demonstrates a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and community development. Such initiatives inspire others to join hands in promoting a greener and healthier environment.

Orientation Visit: Dir RS to NUML Mirpur Campus
On August 12, 2025, NUML Mirpur Campus had the distinct honor of welcoming the Worthy Director Regional Services, Col Muhammad Asif, Sitara-E-Imtiaz (M), (Retd), for an orientation visit. The Honorable Regional Director of NUML Mirpur Campus extended a warm and gracious welcome to him upon his arrival.
The visit began with a comprehensive tour of the entire campus, allowing Col Muhammad Asif to personally observe the academic facilities, administrative blocks, student services, and various other key areas. This firsthand look provided a detailed understanding of the campus's infrastructure and environment. Following the tour, the Director Regional Services attended an in-depth presentation that provided a complete overview of the campus's academic programs, administrative functions, ongoing projects, and future plans.
The insights and feedback shared by Col Muhammad Asif during the visit were invaluable. His expertise and experience provided a new perspective and offered meaningful guidance for the campus's continued development and improvement. We extend our sincerest gratitude to him for his precious time, his insightful observations, and his constructive suggestions, all of which will be instrumental in helping us enhance the quality of education and services at NUML Mirpur Campus.

Go Green NUML: A Collaborative Effort for a Sustainable Future
Go Green NUML
The CSR Society of NUML Mirpur Campus, in collaboration with Al Khidmat Foundation, the Forest Department, and Anjuman-e-Falah-o-Behbood, successfully organized the Green Pakistan Program at the campus. This meaningful initiative aimed to promote environmental responsibility and highlight the vital role of tree plantation in ensuring a sustainable future.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, creating a spiritual atmosphere. It was followed by a brief but impactful address from the Regional Director, NUML Mirpur Campus, who formally inaugurated the plantation drive. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of trees in preserving ecological balance, preventing natural disasters such as soil erosion, and improving the quality of life for future generations.
Students from NUML Mirpur Campus, especially female students, and volunteers from Al Khidmat Foundation participated actively in the plantation activity. Their enthusiastic involvement aligned with the vision of the Forest Department’s campaign “Aik Shajar, Aik Beti”, promoting the idea that planting a tree symbolizes love and responsibility for our daughters and the environment.
The Forest Department and Al Khidmat Foundation contributed a variety of plants to NUML Mirpur Campus, including soil-binder species specifically chosen to prevent erosion and safeguard the campus’s natural terrain.
The event concluded with a collective prayer, asking for Allah Almighty’s help in making the earth greener and safer through the power of plantation and shared environmental stewardship. The "Go Green NUML" initiative not only enhanced the beauty of the campus but also instilled a strong message of sustainability and civic responsibility among the students.

Exploring Innovation: SCO Technology Park Visit
Students and faculty from the Faculty of Engineering and Computing – including departments of Computer Science and Software Engineering – recently visited the Special Communication Organization (SCO) Technology Park in Mirpur!
The visit began with an insightful briefing by Lt. Col. Adeel Malik, Commanding Officer of SCO, who shared exciting updates on ongoing digital infrastructure projects across the Mirpur Division.
Following the session, the students explored various software houses within the SCO Technology Park, where representatives showcased the latest digital services and innovative tech solutions being developed on-site.
This valuable experience provided students with a closer look at real-world applications of their field and strengthened the connection between academia and the tech industry.
