The Department of Software Engineering has been established to provide specialized and focused learning experience to its students.  The department offers BS programs in Software Engineering. The department is equipped with the good number of required resources for the academic programs offered. The distinguished faculty of the department ensures quality teaching by using current and market-oriented tools and technologies. This makes our BS program as one of the most demanding programs in the university. The faculty at the Software Engineering department also profoundly works on cutting-edge research themes to propose solutions for national and international problems. The department currently has four ‘HEC approved Ph.D. supervisors’ and a number of themes consistent with the societal and market needs. Mission

Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science is committed to impart state of the art education in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics. These are the most rapidly advancing fields of science and technology. We prepare our students to face the challenges of 21 st century with full confidence. Provide them a solid theoretical base and equip them with competence to use modern Engineering/IT tools and technologies in solving problems of the world. Groom our students to become useful citizens and serve the humanity.

Objectives

To produce Computer Scientists, Software Engineers, and IT Specialists of high caliber capable of entering the practical world with full capability and confidence. To carry out basic and applied research with a focus on our national needs and well being of our people. To create awareness in our students about environmental problems, health, safety , and professional ethics and their consequent responsibilities relevant to their fields of study
