The department of Electrical and Computer Engineering organized an industrial visit to PTV Home Station. The primary objective of this visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation in the fields of broadcasting systems, signal processing, and communication technologies. The visit provided an opportunity to observe real-time television production and transmission processes. The visit to the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) Home Station was highly informative and academically valuable for the students of BS Computer Engineering 2 and 3 (A & B), as it provided practical exposure to real-world broadcasting systems, including production, control, and transmission processes; through this visit, students developed a clearer understanding of how theoretical concepts of electronics, communication systems, and signal processing are applied in practice, while also gaining insight into system reliability, real-time signal handling, and troubleshooting techniques, ultimately bridging the gap between classroom learning and industrial implementation.
