Vision of the Quality Enhancement Cell

 

The Quality Enhancement Cell of the National University of Modern Languages is predicated on a vision of excellence and growth, and is committed to a constant cycle of improvement in the university’s programs, so that present and future generations of students in different parts of the country may be served with useful, affordable education comparable in quality with best in the world.

 

Mission Statement:

 

      Monitor instruction at different levels in a number of important Pakistani and world languages and in related fields in education, economics, mass-communication, information technology, sciences, international relations, human resource development, management sciences and organizational sciences.

 

      Train new teachers and upgrade the competence of working teachers in general teaching practices related to the fields noted in ‘a’.

 

      Maintain a periodic cycle of revision in curricula, pedagogical approaches, examinations, evaluation and teaching resources in order to establish, preserve and enhance the credibility of the university’s certified output.

 

      Introduce new approaches and methods in pedagogy and educational practices as and when they are developed and validated in Pakistan, or in any other part of the world, if such developments are deemed useful for this country.

 

     Maintain high quality through an internal system of quality enhancement linked with international practices and standards through the national agency for Quality Assurance of the Higher Education Commission.

 

      Encourage faculty development through high level research likely to contribute to the betterment of the society, leading to the M Phil or PhD degree in language, literature, education, human resource development , management sciences, mass-communication,  organizational sciences and related fields within the universities purview of activities.

 

      Encourage the provision and facilities for conducting research for approved proposals within the university’s purview of activities.

 

       Encourage extra-curricular and co-curricular activities for creating the participatory environment, social interaction and general personality development for both students and staff.

 

        Promote public confidence in the quality and standards of NUML’s degrees.
