Guideline for the students
A student must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a cumulative basis during the program.
In the first semester if a student obtains 1.5 SGPA he/she will be promoted to 2nd semester on probation.
At the end of the second semester, if he/she again fails to obtain the required CGPA, he/she will be promoted on warning for dismissal.
In case of failure of the student to achieve the required CGPA at the end of third semester, he/she will be dropped from the programme
A student failing in more than 50% of the workload in which he registered himself, will be dropped from the semester and will not be promoted regardless of his CGPA. However, he/she can repeat his/her semester if otherwise eligible.
In the first semester the student is required to pass 50% courses for promotion to next semester failing which he / she will repeat his/her semester.
In the subsequent semesters he/she will maintain the same criteria. However a fail chance is given to the student as a concession to continue his/her study.
If the student again fails in any semester he/she will be ceased from the university roll.
Maximum duration of master level courses is 3 years (6 semesters)
A student failing to pass his course requirement at the end of 6th semester shall cease to be a student of the University.
