Program Requirements (Program Completion)

MPhil MPhil is a 2-3 year program. Students with BS or Masters in English Linguistics / Literature or having 16 years of schooling from an HEC recognized institution are eligible for admission. They need to have minimum 2nd division or equivalent marks. They must have GAT (General) score (as prescribed by HEC) at the time of admission. They shall appear for university Entrance Test and secure at least 60% marks. The short listed students shall appear for interview. The selected students shall fulfill other academic requirements for admission in the program.

PhD PhD is a 3-5 year program. Students with MS / MPhil in English Linguistics / Literature or having 18 years of schooling from HEC recognized university are eligible for admission. They need to have minimum 2nd division or equivalent marks. They must have GAT (Subject) score (as prescribed by HEC) at the time of admission. They must have done at least 30 credit hours of course work with 6 credit hours of research work. They must have minimum of 3.0 CGPA in MS / MPhil coursework. They shall appear for university Entrance Test and secure at least 60% marks. The short listed students shall appear for interview. The selected students shall fulfill other academic requirements for admission in the program.
contents
Admissions may be advertised twice a year. Each semester is of 19 weeks duration. Minimum 18 classes per module per semester are the basic requirement of the course. Spring semester is from February to July while the fall semester is from September to January. Classes normally start on Monday of the second week of each semester. They end after completion of 18 credit hours for each module. Students are given a week off before the start of exams.
